An event created to honor our Vietnam veterans and to truly "welcome" them home.
I redesigned a website for a non-profit. I wanted to update it and give it a fresh, modern look to it while also honoring who the non-profit was based on.
This started as something I knew nothing about and had to do quite a bit of research on. I came up with a list of questions I had and reached out to community members in my community to interview them and answer my questions. Now, I'm working with a friend and we've decided to try and change a policy relating to homeless liaisons.
For my junior year I'm planning to intern with a non-profit to figure out what aspect I like the most and want to pursue a career in.
This is a logo I made that won a competition and is being used to advertise an event the school is holding. I didn't realize how much I enjoy making images like this until I started doing it.
This event was also for a non-profit and was the first real even I ran! I can say that it was a success. The event is similar to Toys-for-Tots as the event is to buy gifts for children with cancer so that they have Christmas presents.
These are some of the books that made me fall even more in love with reading. There are so many ways to interpret parts of these books that it makes for a very diverse conversation.
If you haven't read this book, you need to. This book opened my eyes about slavery and the real impact it had on everyone involved. I took so much away from it that I'll never forget.
This novel was completely different from anything else I've read. It told a story just through a journey, which is not an easy thing to do.
