Angel Gifts

I loved absolutely everything about this project! I was able to run this for a 501(c)(3) non-profit that is dedicated to caring for children and their families with childhood cancer. This is one of the events they do throughout the year and happens around Christmas time. The event is fairly simple; it begins when social workers at Children's Hospital sends a list of five to ten families that can't afford to buy Christmas presents for their kid(s). Every member, of each family, writes a wish list that is then sent to the foundation. All names are removed and simply divided by family. This list then gets sent out by email and put on the website for people to "sign up" and buy presents. They can choose a whole family, one kid, or a single present. Once all the presents that people bought for are sent in, they're sorted out and the foundation fill in the gaps for what's missing. Then comes a massive wrapping party and everything is packaged. Once that's done, the presents are dropped off at the hospital for the children and their families to open Christmas morning!
